NYE Weekend       [Return to the Blog]

NYENew Year's Eve got here faster than I thought! At the last minute Rafael wanted to have a get together. We didn't know exactly what we were going to do so he just decided to have a party at our house. Surprisingly everyone showed up! Jim, Joe, Mariano ( he was late), Duy, Vincent, Vincent's friend, Phil, Rico, Rafael, and I said goodbye to 2009 and brought in 2010. We had the music pumping, the porn playing on the TV, and there was tons of alcohol and food! Joe made his famous chicken enchiladas and Rafael made Picadillo which was a huge hit!

NYEOnce we toasted to the new year, everyone headed down to Micky's. I was exhausted, so I just stayed home. Which was a good thing because if I had drank more I would have puked! I took it easy for the rest of the long weekend. I played more of Muramasa: the Demon Blade. The weather also really picked up. We had sunshine all weekend long and it was in the 70's. There is no place like California!! I took advantage of it and Lola and I hiked all over West Hollywood. I can't wait for Summer!

CocoI had Coco Channel from NetFlix, so I decided to watch it. It was pretty long and not as good as I thought it was going to be. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was interesting, but it was not as captivating as I thought it was going to be. There were some parts that really dragged on for me. It was interesting to know though that she started designing hats. I also really liked how she chose the name for the perfume Chanel Number 5.

I also had Terminator Salvation on my TiVo. Amazon Video On Demand had given me some free credits so I downloaded Harry Potter and Terminator. I thought I was going to love it because I love anything Christian Bale does, and I love him, but the movie was really bad and boring. The only stand out was the Human/Terminator guy who is super hot. His name is: Marcus Wright. He was super hot and should have had more nude scenes :) It would have made the movie more "interesting".

T4Saturday Mariano wanted to go to the Grove to see Avatar. This is the second time we set out to see it, and it was sold out so we couldn't see it. We had some dinner at the Farmer's Market, although I really wanted the Brazilian place, Pampas, the line was so long I didn't want to wait! So I had pizza and Mariano had sushi. I also took advantage and went to the Apple store to replace my headphones for the iPhone. The button always breaks because I sweat all over it on the gym! I went in they fit me in to an appointment and 30 minutes later I walked out with a new pair of headphones! It was great!

So we didn't get to see Avatar so we settled on It's Complicated. It was amazing! I didn't think it was going to be as funny as it was! Alec Baldwin stole the funniest moments of the movie! It was hilarious. Mariano and I were laughing out loud many times! I'm glad that we got to see it! Now all I have to do is see Avatar hopefully before it leaves theatres!

T4When I got home Rafael wanted to go out. Mariano left because he was being anti-social. Duy and his friend met us at our place where we had pre-drinks and then we headed down to Mickys. We had so much fun! I don't feel like going out much, but when I do I really enjoy it. I was feeling great, and we had so much fun. And I was super drunk. I finally introduced myself to my favorite bartender ever from Mickys. He told me his name and I told him mine, but the music was so fucking loud I didn't hear his name! He did say it was a good way to start the new year by knowing each other's name :) He is so hot! I heart you favorite Micky's bartender! And he goes to my gym too which makes me loose focus whenever I see him! SO HOT!

I also saw a hottie I've been meaning to hook up with for a while on Grinder and Manhunt. He was looking super good! So now I know we'll be hooking up in the future :) At least we better! Rafael ended up taking me home after a while because I was so fucking drunk! I was being very friendly and talking to random people. I have no idea how I made it back home up our hill. But I did! And just in time to puke my guts out! But it was a happy puke!

Sunday I just relaxed, got over my mild hangover, and went to the gym. It was a very good New Year's Eve weekend! Very relaxing and fun! I'm ready for the new Year....

"I have quite a collection of journals. It's not so much that I write a lot. I have this bad habit of starting a new journal when I start a new chapter in life. Either I have had many turning points in my life, or I just wanted an excuse to buy new journals!"
